I have an older presto cannertha holds 7 quarts and a large water canner too. I do boil my jars in a large canner kettle on a smooth cook top. I'm going to put it to use this week-end. I have tons of squash, peaches, and zucchini that I want to start canning for the baby. I need the practice for the ton of tomatoes, greenbeans and peppers that I'll be harvesting soon too, lol.Rhonda Gales https://www.blogger.com/profile/10237938674910908032noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4308870389641491679.post-16677208881001602022011-07-19T20:58:12.981-07:002011-07-19T20:58:12.981-07:00I just bought a Presto 23 qt canner too! I've been using the ball blue book too and love it. No one died from my canned raw pack chicken or my green beans so I CAN say it works well even for a beginner. My daughter loves the green beans. Oh and get the Ball canning salt in the bag. It'll last a few years and it works great!Beeks by the Lakehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12592978205053247507noreply@blogger.com
